Our personnel at South Carolina Lightning
Protection, Inc. are cleared for the highest security
clearance necessary to complete any lightning
protection system installation on any site necessary.
South Carolina Lightning Protection (SCLP) is a licensed South Carolina contractor with certification and memberships in the Lightning Protection Institute, National Fire Protection Association and Lightning Safety Alliance.
Robbie Schulz, SCLP, is an Underwriters Laboratories “UL Listed Installer”, a “Certified Master Installer” with the Lightning Protection Institute, a member of both the National Fire Protection Association and the Lightning Safety Alliance. I am authorized to present “LSA’s Lightning Protection Basics” to individuals and groups; this course is American Institute of Architects (AIA) approved for 1 Health Safety and Welfare Learning Unit.

Every lightning protection system we build includes the use of all UL Listed Materials designed specifically for lightning protection systems. A UL Master Label Certificate is produced after a UL field representative inspects each system for non-compliance with current requirements. Our price also includes surge suppression for electric, telephone and video feeds that enter the structure. Bonding of the lightning protection system to electric, telephone, video and radio ground leads as well as connections to metal water and gas piping is also required and included in our base price.

Robbie earned his Lightning Protection Institute Certification as a LPI Master Installer/Designer in 2009 and continues to hold the highest level of certification by the Lightning Protection Institute of any lightning protection system installer in the state of South Carolina.
